For details see: http://simonepernice.freehostia.com/J2ME/SimeTris/simetris.html .
SimEtris is another clone of Tetris. This version uses vectorial graphics to optimize the image on different display resolutions. It is designed to run on every MIDP 2.0 phone and I tested it on Motorola E1070.
The goal of the game is to create complete horizontal lines of blocks, which will disappear. The blocks come in 7 different character shapes: I (red), T (gray), O (light blue), L (yellow), J (fuchsia), S (blue), Z (green). They are made by 4 bricks.
The blocks fall from the top center of the screen with a random rotation and order. A preview of the next block is showed on the right of the screen and a shadow will show where the blok will be dropped. The game board is composed by 20x11 cells.
You can rotate the blocks (FIRE to rotate right, UP arrow to rotate left) and move them across the screen (RIGHT and LEFT arrows) to drop (DOWN arrow) them in complete lines. After every block your score increases by the square of completed lines (if any) times the current level. Every time more than 9 lines plus current level value are completed you go to the next level. There are 10 levels: level 1 takes up to 1 second for every drop step; that time is reduced by a tenth of second for every following level. Enjoy!!!
There are also 100 pre-defined game with the same pieces in the same order to challenge a friend!
Written for my wife Stefania. SimEtris is written by Simone Pernice, version 1.1, build 2, 2005/01/4. SimEtris is under GNU GPL copyleft license.

Best tetris game!

Excellent game... Perfect for my Xperia screen size...Good.

Brilliant. My kids have been playing this and challenging each other...a very nice feature, by the way...to know they're getting exactly the same blocks in the same order!...keeps them quiet on car journeys ;-)

Love Tetris and this is a really good version.

Screen could be taller, but still, great Tetris game.

Graphics were really good, especially the shadow 'cheat' blocks to show you where the block is going to fall. I really liked the 'friend challenge' feature too.
