Blog - Symbian software now on Phoload!
Wednesday, April 22, 2009 by Tara
Today we're officially launching support for Symbian software on Phoload. We've got a great portfolio of Symbian applications already uploaded to the site by software developers. This means that those of you with UIQ or S60 powered smartphones (such as the Nokia N series) can download these free Symbian apps, in addition to the hundreds of great Java ME apps and games already listed on the site. We've got some really great apps like fring, vtap and Skyfire, so you'll definitely find something useful or just plain fun for your mobile phone.
While we expect users to browse the site using the device filter, if you would like to check out a list of all the Symbian software, you can do so by visiting http://www.phoload.com/symbian.
We've also been busy making lots of improvements to Phoload and tweaking it in response to your feedback. The site is now better at automatically detecting your phone and we have improved the user experience for those browsing with Opera Mini. Please keep sending your feedback to tara@phoload.com
...And finally here's a heads up to all the users that have already signed up and those who will sign up to Phoload… While the mobile industry is buzzing with news of new application stores from the larger device manufacturers and carriers, we've been quietly getting on with creating some fantastic new features. We're working hard so that they'll be available within the next month.
Keep watching this space and we'll drop all our users (those signed up) a line when the new features go live.
Back soon!

just like 2say your site is premo as algood
I'm curious to see those new features.
As a developer, I like very much the priority mechanism that allows to give the best matching version of an application, depending on the device.
